Just updating my computers. What is a good antivirus program that wont slow down the computer. Anyone tried Shaw secure what is that like compared to Norton?

There are many out there. Just do a google search for them.

The biggest difference between the programs written by your ISP and 3rd parties are that the ones from the ISP are usually free if you have internet access with them, whereas there is usually an annual subscription fee to any 3rd party one.

There are also completely free ones you can get off the internet, but they tend to be not that effective or not user friendly.

Personally, I would stay away from Shaw secure. It's a modified version of F-secure, which I had for free from the University for a while, and it was big and slowed my computer right down. Maybe it's different now, it has been a couple years, but i wasn't impressed then.

toptenreviews.com seems to be a good site for ranking the different versions and different brands of all the software out there.
