Hot rumour going around MLB, is that Mike Piazza may have been tipping off the AL hitters last night during the first inning, allowing them to light up Roger Clemmens for 6 runs.

If so, I love it! Hell of a payback for Clemmens throwing at his head a while back, embarass him in his home town at the all star game. Payback indeed can be a b!tch. :D

I thought this aswell.. and I'd wouldn't be suprised if he did that... as a former pitcher, if that was to happen to me i'd be pretty po'd.

Apparently they're still pissed at each other 4 years later, so it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't think that was the case.

Clemons had been to every event, every press conference, and even stayed late after the home run derby. I think the guy partied to hard and was off his edge. When you are only throwing an 85mph fastball in inning one, you know there is something off with the guys game.

Muley's right. Not to mention the fact he's going against some pretty good hitters as well.

Anyone who is a fan of baseball knows these things happen. John Smoltz allowed 10 runs in one inning to the Mets two years ago.

Sometimes, that's just the way it goes.
