1. Matthews - his record speaks for itself
2. Pinball - great enthusiasm; makes a lot out of nothing
3. Paopao - has made drastic improvements in the last three years
4. Buono - past success, but what have you done for me lately?
5. Higgins - last year's GC shows that he can play with the big boys
6. Barrett - mediocre success with a mediocre team
7. Ritchie - good regular season record, but always falls short
8. Marshall - not a bad start for a rookie coach
9. Dunnigan - not much to work with; needs more experience

P.S. Tagged ya! :D

Sorry, FF, I just can't put Matthews number one. Paopao and Buono have had more success when they've had teams with inferior talent. Matthews should kiss Eric Tillman's ass for those two great teams in Toronto that won it all. You make a good point, though, that maybe Buono has lost some of his touch.

I'm glad we agree that Ritchie is about as smart as a sack full of donkey doo.

I rank Matthews as #1 because he's the master of the game within the game; he subscribes to the notion that football is more mental than it is physical. How many times has he made a fool out of our beloved Ned Flanders? Don's mental strategizing is what puts him over the top, IMO. I don't know of a coach that has the capacity to psyche someone out to the degree that he has.

"The Don" - 200+ career victories (Regular Season); 'nuff sed.
Wobbly Boner - second all-time in wins; second here, too.
Flanders - 'cause his record over the past 4 seasons is better than everybody else who's left.
"Skipper" Ritchey - 'cause Gilligan don't coach in the CFL.
Pinball - only .500 career-wise.
Marshall - I'm including his CIS record.
Paopao - no explanation necessary.
Barrett - only 'cause Dunigan's worse.
Dunigan comes in 9th, only 'cause there's no 10th place.
