checked out the boards.......interesting some of the ideas.......

I'd also like to see the ability to add expantion franchises c/w climate selection & stadium selection..... also the ability to redesign logo's and complete uniforms (3 sets).

Im actually semi involved in this. I just finished designing their new website and while I was a little skeptical at first this group of individuals is fully committed to getting this game on the market for its CFL fans. Ea sports have already nulled the idea because they believe the CFL isnt a big enough product that would make them a profit...needless to say though there are lots (and I mean lots) of people keeping an eye on this.

The more feedback/support you leave us the better the chance we have of putting this game in motion.

So did you hear for sure that EA has dropped out of production with the CFL?

I think a CFL game would flop

If an honest to god CFL game came out, I'd likely buy it in a heartbeat.

I think a CFL game would flop.

I'm sticking with NFL Fever 2005... I won't waste time or money on a CFL game that doesn't look as good or have as many options.

Well there is no doubt in my mind that a CFL game would flop in the U.S. In Canada though I think it would have the potential to do really well.

As far as EA is concerned..from what I've been told yeah they have turned it down because they believe it wont make them any profit. What I dont get is the fact that they have pretty much everything they need in the form of a football engine with Madden. All they should have to do is change a couple things (field, teams etc).

In all honesty I would like to see them port the CFL into Madden but thats likely to never happen.

They made a RUGBY game, for christ's sake. How hard would it be to tweak Madden to fit the CFL?

Tweaking the game would take work but half of it is done with player models and textures and stuff.

This discussion (like many others) has been beaten to death at rf.com, the general consensus is that there would have to be some other investor involved because the market is not big enough to pay off a game... bob young anyone?

Well the people involved are not in it to make money...maybe down the road if it became popular but the general concensus is they just want to be able to play a football game with Canadian teams and rules.

I dont know much but I do know that the people involved are working on this game because they love the CFL.

WHAT??? Not motivated by crass commercialism, but genuine love of the game?? How un-"American"!! :) :)

Seriously, I do respect their attitude and committment to getting such a game out there, even *knowing* the market is smaller than for say, Madden's games. Personally I think you said it all, Phrost: I too just want to be able to play a football game with Canadian teams and rules.

Like Muley69 said above, I'd buy this one in a heartbeat!! And I'd not care one bit about Madden's latest graphics/engine/etc.!! If it doesn't have Ivor Wynne, Taylor Field, Commonwealth Stadium, etc., and Ticats/Argos/Eskimos, etc., then why would I give a DAMN about Madden's game anyway, if there was a CFL one on the market????? I wouldn't want to waste my time playing any NFL game at all if there was a CFL one on the market, I can tell you that! Up to now that's never even been an option. I can only hope these guys get it off the ground so it will be my option of choice! Kudos to them!
