I was thinking it'd be cool to have an "eskimo" drink or shot.

I dont believe there is allready a shot/drink that it green and gold in color..

So what liqueurs can we use ?

for Green i know : Sour Puss Apple, Chartreuse Green and melon liqueur, creme de menthe, green curacao...

and for Yellow : Chartreuse yellow.

I'm pretty sure Chartreuse yellow and green can't be floated , so they wouldn't layer....hrmmmm

Esks4ever
11-25-2005, 12:15 PM
I found on the net...

1/4 Bailey's
1/4 Green Creme de Menthe
1/4 Cinnamon Schnaaps
1/4 milk.

Add Baileys, then layer the milk, Creme de Menthe, and Cinnamon Schapps.

I regularly make Green & Gold shots! They all tend to be 'experimental'! :D

For Gold...
Galliano
Banana Liquer
Banana Rum
Gold Tequila

For Green...
Green Sour Puss
Lime Cordial
Rose's Sour Apple cordial
Melon Liquer

My advice... have at it! find combos that taste good! The experimenting is part of the fun! ;)

For a different take on Green & Gold... Green Chartreuse mixed with Goldschlagger = gives you a green shot with real gold flakes floating in it!

finally another drinker.. i thought there'd be tones of people in this thread.. rofl..

I was hopeing to find one that works so i can get it made at the bad on sunday.. but i dunno now :) also beer is gold, some juiices...

TurfToe

Glad to hear you are making it 'at the bad'! (I think! :scratch: ) :p

Float some lime cordial on a beer... lime and lager!

A sweet green liquer (e.g. melon) floated on Gold Tequila would work (or an amber Rum).

i was thinking about the melon and tequlia... wouldn't the tequlia float on the melon ?

TurfToe
11-25-2005, 01:31 PM
well, if it doesn't float one way, try the other! Whhheeeeeeeeee!

Banana Rum or liqueur is also nice.

If you are daring... go with Banana, vodka and melon for a green/white/gold combo!

well, I'm not even sure if Cointreau is yellowish enough, but I'll bet the two orange-ish flavours would be pretty damn tasty

For a drink: Green Hell

* 1 shot Blue Curacao
* 1 shot Gin
* 1 shot Vodka
* 1 shot Rum
* 1 shot Triple sec
* 1 shot white Tequila
* 3 parts Orange juice

Mix all ingredients in shaker. Fill with ice and add orange juice. Pour into hurricane glass and serve.

A couple of those and you won't be seeing the second half!

For shots: Green Eyed Blonde

* 1/3 oz Melon liqueur
* 1/3 oz Banana liqueur
* 1/3 oz Bailey's irish cream

Important (hic!) news!

real Chartreuse (Green and 50% alcohol) floats nicely ontop of Goldwasser (the polish version of Goldschlagger). The Green and white with gold is a nice 'away' look. And it tastes not bad! :D

Grey Cup Sunday... the diary of a damaged liver,
By TurfToe

- Coffee with Kahlua before walking the dog.
- Straight Kahlua after walking the dog.
- mulled apple cider with brandy... just to see if it tasted ok.
- beers while cleaning house: Moosehead (green bottle) and Big Rock Traditional (Alberta brew).
- preparatory Vitamin T.
- pregame shot: Green Chartreuse & Goldshlagger.
- Game drink: Rye & Coke (worked in WSF and WDF!).
- Switch after half time: Vodka Tonic & Lime.
- Switch back to Rye & Coke when realization hits that drink switch goes along with QB switch! But pulled out classic EE glass mug bought during 5-in-a-row years.
- 3-4 post-game celebratory Tequila shots: the really good stuff ($100+/bottle).
- final shot of Polish stomach bitters... lord knows why.

I started with brown cows to coat the stomach :p Knew I would be a mess LOL Then on to vodka and orange, then at half time switched to gin and tonic with a lime. I only had two shots all night, tame ones at that. I'm a light weight but holy do I feel awful still :rofl: Not sure what it was that did it, but won't be doing that combo again for awhile :D
