Weird McNair charged with DUI as a passenger!!??!!??

I hit them as hard as I could on the mouth right from the start of the game so they were thinking this was going to be a long day. Sooner or later one of us had to quit. And it wasn't going to be me.

Mcnair made his brother drive his truck will he was drunk. Still makes no sense to me.

I guess you can't play the 'whose less drunk' game in Tennessee. At least not with your car.

I'm afraid I don't get the excess of question marks. The law is a bit different than here but... If you knowingly let someone drive your vehicle (which we assume you could have prevented since it's, you know, yours), when they are drunk, a punishment seems appropriate.

That's a lot to prove, a person who is impaired, to be able to make a rational decision as to the state of someone else. Also the fact that he was a passenger makes the charges against him seem ridiculous.

"It is important to remember that Mr. McNair has not been charged with driving while drinking. The charge is DUI owner passage," I think the strong implication of the article is that McNair was not ,in fact, impaired. As a side note, Canadian law now states that since it is (generally) your choice to get drunk, you are legally responsible for everything you do under the influence, with the notable exception of consenting to sex (which is necessary to prevent intentional abuse of this law). I'm certainly not an expert in the system or history of Tennessee's laws, but as the article states, it does seem like common sense. Don't let the drunk guy drive your truck!

Interesting law... but yeah, it makes sense. If you let some drive your vehical knowing that they are (or could be) intoxicated, you should be liable to an extent.
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

I think a lawyer could and will have a field day with this. On one hand the law implies that you as an impared person are able to make sound rational, non impaired judgements in the case of determining if another self responsible adult is capable of the operation of a motor vehicle, regardless of who owns it, yet are incapable of sound rational non impaired fuctions to operate the vehicle yourself.

    Makes no sense.
