Hello folks! My name is Kevin, and I'm a Ticats fan who is based in Toronto. Last year, a few friends and I started up a meetup group called CFL Fans in Toronto with a mission to bring together Toronto-based CFL fans of all stripes to catch CFL game broadcasts and celebrate our league.
Astonishing but true: until last season, Canada’s largest city completely lacked a ‘home base’ where CFL fans knew they could go to find fellow fans catching the game together. But times have changed! CFL Fans in Toronto brings together Toronto-based CFL fans of all stripes to catch CFL game broadcasts and celebrate our league. Our goal is to create the festive atmosphere that one experiences at Grey Cup Week, throughout the CFL season. In 2017, we're hosting an event approximately once per month.
I've come to this site as a way of trying to reach out to Esks fans who might be based in the big smoke. I hope this is ok with you fine folks!
Cheers,
Kevin
PS: Visited your city for Grey Cup in 2010 and had an absolute blast! :-)

I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

I've been a hardcore CFL fan since catching part of the 1958 Grey Cup Game on the radio in the living room. The 1959 Topps CFL cards were the first bubble gum cards I ever collected as a kid. Here are some shots from my present day set:
I have a vague memory of getting them in this first wrapper here although some were evidently also distributed in this second wrapper which Topps had used previously for the 1958 NFL cards:
I'm still a big card collector to the present day. In addition between my spouse and myself we have nearly forty CFL jerseys, all with a Radically Canadian patch stitched onto them!

Welcome, BalticFox - look forward to having you contribute on the board. You’ll find fans of all ages and length of fandom, and fans and discussions of all teams are encouraged!
Haha so true. I’m also a CFL card collector as well as a few others are on the site. Look forward to seeing more of your collection!

I'd start a thread, but this program doesn't allow me to do so yet.
