Re: The Official YouTube Video Thread [OK14: keep out]

For those hungry for any sort of sports events to watch, there are many classic sporting events to watch on youtube. This guy for example has a number of Grey Cup and regular season games. I thought this would be a fun video to share from his channel:

NFL's youtube channel has a whole bunch of complete games for watching. With Tom Brady being a hot topic signing in Tampa Bay, I thought this Super Bowl game from 2002 would be an interesting watch.

Looks like you'll have to go directly to youtube to watch it though.

Second name you hear in that video is Yo Murphy! Been a long time since I heard that name. Played for BC, Ottawa, and Sask over the years.

That was fantastic! Although I wish they'd covered more of the season, and seeing Chris Jones now knowing what he was planning at the time, it still brought back chills. They captured my feelings watching those two playoff games for sure.

If you're looking for a good hockey game to watch tonight, I hear this one comes highly recommended.
Note - there doesn't appear to be play by play announcers on this stream. Weird.

I watched that a few weeks ago. They also had the men's curling final with no announcers. Was better without. You got more player interaction in the curling.

Week 3 of the CFL youtube channel's new "CFL game in 40 minutes" series. This week, we go back to Week 10 of last season for a Montreal @ Calgary match up. If you don't remember the final result, I don't really wanna spoil it, but most Eskimo fans should enjoy it

Finally an Eskimo game from the league's "CFL in 40" series... and it's a good one.

Pretty defensive struggle for the first half, but it opens up in the second half. Great trick play in that game too.

We played them at Commonwealth 2 weeks prior to this game, and Kerwin Bell was sacked 5 times by Tim Cofield in the first half alone, but Eric Blount had 289 all-purpose yards and 3 TDs to take it fairly easily. This is after we did a trade in September with Memphis where we sent Lucius Floyd to get Downtown Eddie Brown back in Green and Gold after letting him walk as a free agent 8 months earlier.

I just heard that Rik Emmett of Triumph turned 67 today. Happy birthday. Damn time flies. This piece of music remains one of my favourites, so I thought I'd share. I wish I was talented enough to learn it

Live Aid is 35 years old today. On that day, I was working at A&A Records (anyone remember them) at Heritage Mall. We had the stereo system tuned to the radio to pick up the simulcast and play it throughout the store. I had convinced my 12 year old brother to spend the sunny day at home swapping out tapes on the VCR every 2 hours so I could watch the whole event when I got home from work.
So many great performances on that day... this was one of my favourites.

I remember this one well. I don't wanna spoil it for those that haven't seen it; I'll just say it was a hard fought game.
