Funny how you have to resign for telling the truth these days like the Brit ambassador.
Seems the world has not learned that you have to stand up to a bully. (At least the western world).

I think at this point people have made their minds up about Donald Trump. Smart and honest people hate him. Stupid and dishonest people love him.
Mueller had his chance to do the right thing. He didn't. Instead he acted as if DOJ guidelines supercede the rule of law.

Well, gentlemen, by all means, I think we ought to have an introspective moment of silence for poor old Tin-Tin.
Can we do Boris Johnson posts in this thread?

It turns out that John Pence, nephew of the Vice-Sociopath, is a section leader who starts & controls the chants at Trump rallies.

These aren’t spontaneous outbursts; they’re choreographed in advance & controlled by both staff leaders & by Trump himself!https://t.co/MahcXY2GHN

Boris Johnson is prime minister. I mocked him in a debate at the Oxford Union as an undergrad in 1999. He offered me an internship at the Spectator, where he was editor. I accepted. A fascinating experience. I’d have laughed then if you told me he would be prime minister 1 day.

Perhaps they care more for the principle involved here than the optics? That I know is very rare in politicians these days. And since they're part of a very select minority of two on this issue, my suspicion is that they probably voted the right way given the majority's shameless devotion to optics.
Radically Canadian!
Ahhhhh, the old obtuse enough not to get the point gambit, is it? Well then let me spell it out for you.
It's very easy for our elected "representatives" to vote benefits from the public purse. I'd be much more impressed if they demonstrated their largesse by voting said benefits from their own purse, i.e. salaries. I suppose though I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for such a blessed event.

These were 9/11 first responders. Working for the public good. The public purse can pay for their medical bills and cancer meds from the injuries and cancer CAUSED by their actions in the public good...on 9/11.
You should be ashamed of yourself. FFS! You make them sound like freeloaders. You are sick, mate. Sick!
"Of all the so-called virtues, the most over-rated is faith" - Christopher Hitchens
Oh, probably. But like I said, I haven't paid any attention whatsoever to this issue. I mean why should I? I don't obsess about details of American politics. My interests are broader in a way, and much more focused in other ways.
The general principle in which I'm very much interested here is the cavalier manner in which legislators are willing to spend other people's money. Not their own, OTHER people's. And until we come to terms with their unfettered capability in this regard, there's no way the unbridled growth in Government will ever be stemmed.
"Sick", am I? Well screw you jerk.
I didn't register on this forum to discuss politics. I don't even understand why political threads are allowed on this theoretically Eskimo-centric board. And usually I try to just ignore the ongoing silliness in this thread.
But you've now cast the die. My responses to you will now be in precisely the same vein as your previous post. You dealt the hand. Let's see how much enjoyment you get from playing it.

No. Those are actually words of a fundamentally dishonest person.
Smart and honest people don't have any kind of hard and fast opinions about Donald Trump. Such people don't care about personalities. Smart people care only for the issues. Don't believe me? Well you clearly don't watch the maybe smart but honest anyway financial and market commentators on the financial news networks whose only concern is what Trump's actions mean to the economy and markets.
The stupid and dishonest people practice partisan politics to the exclusion of all else. The only concern of the Democrat supporters falling into this category is looking for things for which they can blame Trump and frothing in indignation at whatever policies they associate with Trump.
And the Canadians who similarly froth with indignation at the mere mention of Donald Trump are particularly pathetic because they're a whole country removed. Moreover I've found that there's a close correlation between Trump haters in Canada and the limousine liberal crowd. These hypocrites I despise.

LOL! Hilarious. Do you even know how stupid you look? You admit you haven't paid attention to the issue, yet you take the side of the morons who voted against supporting 9/11 responders. Yes, you are sick, and I don't give a good god damn if you think I'm a jerk. Your opinion doesn't matter. How could the opinion of someone who says that smart and honest people don't have "hard and fast opinions" about a guy who has the history of disgusting, corrupt and racist behaviour that Trump has. Behaviour that has been laid before you multiple times only to be ignored because it doesn't match your predisposed position.
You just simply don't think, and at this point I'm beyond believing that you have the ability to. So, no. Your opinion doesn't matter. Think I'm a jerk all you want. The rest of us know what YOU are.
Aaaaand...IGNORE.
