Games GDT - Esks @ Argos

If we can pull this one out, then perhaps the ship is beginning to navigate through the rough waters that started the season off. Defence needs to turn in another good effort like last week. At least this week I won't have to lock horns with US olympic fans in the pub to get control of the TV
I hit them as hard as I could on the mouth right from the start of the game so they were thinking this was going to be a long day. Sooner or later one of us had to quit. And it wasn't going to be me.

Re: GDT - Esks @ Argos

Seeing what the Als offense did to Ottawa last night, I am having more hope that this defense is turning the page. If our guy can hold on to the ball inside the 5 yard line, I think we are in for a treat. I have a feeling (call me optimistic) that this is the game where we finally put it all together and blow a team out.

Yup. This is gonna be a snot dripper. Very physical, we'll see who's standing at the end of the game.

Kilgore made some terrible decisions as a result of a strong pass rush last week. I hope we can emulate that this week and that our secondary actually comes down with some interceptions. That defensive line in Toronto is also susceptible to the run. I hope to see us run a bit more off tackle like we did last week which finally brought a glimmer of success to what has been an awful run game...

With Jason Vega's conditioning no doubt not 100%, I'm a little worried about our pass rush today. Doesn't look like there's any depth to spell him off, what with Frank's injury in practice, and on a hot day that could be problematic.....

Good point about conditioning. The humidity in the east can be a problem. I'm interested to see how Watson and Vega fare. The guys they are replacing were adequate but hopefully we come up with better.

We should absolutely win this game. Eskimos have to go on the field and prove it. Make a statement on the road.

Love to hear Brandyn Thompson speak. Sounds like such a smart player.

Need long scoring drives from our offense and plenty of 2 & outs and we won't have to worry about conditioning.

8-0 TO inside of half a minute?????

Jason Maas isn't getting these guys prepared to play properly. There. I said it.

Literally the worst QB rating you can have after one pass.

I don't think Maas can help someone jumping a timing route. Let's pump the brakes...

I wouldn't call it telegraphing. You can't really look off a timing route. Its too quick. It was a poor read if anything and a good route jump.

You don't think a coach can help prep a QB? Can't say I agree.

TO has come out attacking. Edmonton has come out flaccid. Again.

If it's once, sure blame the player. If it's almost every game???

Shoot if Watkins had turned he could have breadbasketed that one.

I mean if you want to chirp on Maas for coaching up the leading QB in the league... I don't know what to say.

Then he didn't throw the ball fast enough. If it's a quick hitter you have to be quick. Too slow and allowed defender to read it and get there for the pick
