And what purpose would that serve? He's a pending FA. Another team could lose his services for something he did while with Ottawa.

I wonder if the CPFOA might not wade into this suspension/appeal process. If the CFL doesn't ensure the suspension sticks are they not telling the officials they are on their own? That they don't have the officials backs when this stuff happens? Could they threaten to pull the services of the officials like NHL officials did during Donutgate when Schoenfeld was originally suspended then a court said he could allowing the appeal to be heard later?

I think they should wade in. Attacking a ref shouldn't be an appeal-able suspension. Unfortunately, that's where we are today.

In the NHL (yes a different league), after Wideman hit the ref, the Flames went from the least penalized team to the most penalized and things didn't improve until he was off the team. No team would even give Wideman a PTO, to my knowledge.

The offiating brethren could find a way to punish Rose - even if he plays on Sunday.

Dave Campbell tweeting that the official that Rose tangled with will be working the Grey Cup game. Should be a bit of an awkward situation.

And they're saying on the radio that the game still isn't sold out.

There's your legacy Lenny... Couldn't even sell out a Grey Cup. Attaboy!
    Overheard at Spirit of Edmonton.
Boydo - Jeez Sean I always forget how tall you are...
Wad - That’s ok Boydo, we remember how short you are! (As Swerve chuckles and nods while drinking his Coors)

With nearly 4000 less seats available to sell than the previous crews had.

    edit:

Check that maybe even more. They got over 63K in there last time. Capacity is now 56K and it isn't sold out. Maybe he can bring in Young MC, Tone Loc or Rob Base to sell the remaining tickets.

Does anyone know where there’s a list of where all the team/cities’ parties are being held? We’re trying to do all 10, but the only East one we could find is the Atlantic Schooners. Not sure where to look.

    Addendum
    All good, found them all.

I'm not surprised to hear the comments about the turf. When the EEFC opened the field for fans to go on after a game a few months ago, I was very shocked at the quality of the turf. It is awful. I was amazed at how slippery it was and how it felt like there was no padding under it.
I have played soccer on the turf at Foote Field, Millwoods, the new Scottish Dome, Tri Leisure Centre and the EDSA soccer centre. ALL of those turfs are better than Commonwealth.
Maybe the EEFC can invest in new turf and it may help reduce some injures for the club.

With most of those being city facilities I would have to assume that the turf at CW is a least as good, if not better. Maybe this is just the reality of having turf in cold weather. I remember playing some lat season games at Clarke where the turf felt like concrete as well.

Good thing I had a lot of Sluice Juice in me, I gave him an earful when he went past.
