yeah but we had Mike Reilly to lead a comeback they have Bridge/Watford....plus Hamilton is wearing Sask down, if Ham scored on this drive you could see the flood gates open

If the time of possession difference keeps up, Sask's D is gonna be awful tired at the end of this one.

I have no idea why Hamilton didn't challenge that.... late and helmet to helmet looked like it was in there as well.

Turning point was Hamilton not challenging the blatant RTP on the Hughes TD.

Was one that was very reasonable for the refs to miss live too with the ball popping up like that.

Instead he had it in his pocket for a prayer PI.

They might have controlled the clock and put up yards but I thought the TiCats looked pretty bad tonight. They got dominated in the trenches tonight. With a capable qb, I think the Riders win this in a walk.

Stamps and Riders both beat these guys, we got obliterated by them.

That is what happens when you don't go for the throat. And just some horrendous play calls throughout the game from the Hamilton coaches.

I suspect Hamilton will spank them in a couple weeks after that...

If the QB holds onto the ball or fumbles the ball (ie. doesn’t pass it), then can’t call roughing the passer if it’s a clean hit. At least that’s the way I understand it.

If it’s not a clean hit, then it would be unnecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct - something other than RTP - but none of those are challenge-able.

agreed but it looked like the crown of his helmet hit Masolis chin, was worth a shot in my eyes.

Live mic night for the Redblacks/Als game.
Looks like our turn is next week against the Argos at CW.

Nice start from both teams...wouldn't mind watching an ol' fashioned 51-49 kind of game.

Okay, but what would you challenge? It’s not RTP if he doesn’t pass the ball.

How the hell does the command centre blow that call? Matthews got smacked right in the face mask as he threw it.

Winnipeg is laying a beating on poor old BC tonight. Hervey hasn't been their messiah yet anyways, lots of work there. It's going to be a good proving ground for him, we'll find out what he's really capable of from the ground up.

No different than his first season as GM in Edmonton in 2013 except no Reilly.

It’s unfortunate that his first year there ( ie the let’s get the lay of the land year & see if people prove me right or wrong) coincides with Wally's last season. Creates a sense of urgency while trying to patiently rebuild.

I agree. Once a GM comes in, it usually takes a couple years to get things turned around, unfortunately it's hard to stomach the reality of year one being a write off when you have a legendary future HOF coach riding off into the sunset at the same time.

The Lions will be fine in the long run though, Hervey has a very good track record of picking HC's.

BC will be fine. Might take a season before he gets his stamp on the team - but they'll be fine.

Well some people are incapable of looking at the big picture, most were willing to give Ed two or three years to prove himself and that patience was rewarded with a GC and one of the best QB's in Esks history, you and I agree that Brock deserves the same patience, as any new GM does. No way to know if you have the CFL's next Huff, or the next GM Kavis, unless you give a guy the chance. Majority of the regular posters on this forum seem to be reasonable people though.
