Its time this team gets their **** together and plays a complete game. Game 6, coming off a bye week. The Esks have played this year much like last year, inconsistent and shaky.

Montreal has quality starters on their Oline. Hopefully we can jam them up and stop Sutton before he gets rolling. Making Adams put the ball in the air might be the best option.

I second this. Adams is not a good QB, they have nothing in way of a back up and Manzel has been there for a couple of days. So he might have a grasp on a handful of plays. Coming off a bye week, they should be rested and prepared. Absolutely no excuse not to come out hard and beat the Als.

We play em 20 times... we win 19 times. Just make sure to show up, start fast and hold that tempo for 60 minutes. Hard to do? Yes... so what, get it done.

Most of all, cut down on the penalties, and play SMART.

Re: [GDT] Esks @ Als 5:30PM MT Molson Stadium

Watching TSN last night about the game the sound bite was 90% Montreal and 10% Esks. Everyone doesn't give a sh*t if we win .... they just want to see if Manzel plays! Total disrespect to the Esks and what we have went through with injuries and still grinding out some wins and a slap in the face to how Reilly has played IMHO!

The Eks should be well rested and ready to play hard but even more so if I was them I would be sorely pissed at how the media and football experts have treated them...... Esks need to come out hungry and mean and lay the friggin wood to every guy in an Als jersey! LOS is key as the Als O and D line are not as bad as everyone thinks and if Sutton gets running (due to Bennes soft D) we will be in for a long frustrating night.... again!

Definitely agree about the penalties too (cough cough.... Edwards, Bond, Kelly.... cough cough).... if we keep giving them chances this will be a trap game that will embarrass the hell out of us!

I read somewhere that AB won’t dress for this tilt.
That said, this should be an easy win, but you never know....

Although Vernon Adams has "soft" stats (only 4 TD's in 3 starts his first season), he is 3-0 as a starter. Hopefully 3-1 after tonight.

I am a die hard Esks fan but right now what story lines are their for the Esks worthy of talking about? They are 3-2, played mediocre over those games and are coming off a bye. Montreal just made a massive trade, trades that big with that many pieces don't happen very often especially mid season just mere days ago. So what did you expect?

I'm an Esks fan and this game is WAY more interesting since this trade happened.

They have some quality pieces upfront on both sides, but both O and D lines have been significantly shuffled since that trade. I hope we test them with blitzes and the run game to see if they've come together in the 3 days of practice.

I am far more worried about Adams starting than I would be about Willy.

I know what you're saying...but I don't mind going up against a pair of QB's who've thrown for a combined total of 8 yards this season.

It's usually a universal thing that teams in the CFL come out slow after a bye week. I'd love to see the Esks come out strong but I am more interested in seeing the penalties drop and us win the special teams battle early. Both things that have been absolute problems the past few years. Vernon Adams doesn't really scare me but Sutton does especially considering how weak we have been stopping the run. Make Adams beat us by throwing the ball.

That defense in Montreal is decent so I hopefully we aren't behind by double digits....again.

Agreed and I'm sure the coaching staff will be ready for the inevitable running attack from both the QB and the RB. With our lack of linebacker depth, in the lineup, I'm guessing Mulumba and Sherritts injuries aren't a concern.

Montreal doesn’t score but they don’t give up a lot of points either (the 56 against the Bombers as the outlier. That’s the only time they’ve given up 30 or more points. Esks have done that twice but not to the tune of 50 plus).

I don’t think this is going to be a cake walk, especially with the Esks aptitude for arriving late to the party.

I agree and I hope we’re both wrong..

Would be nice to actual blow out a weak opponent for a change

Is Rod Black doing this game? Because if you mix him and Manziel, you’re gonna have a bad time!

Esks haven't lost against Montreal since 2013. 8 straight wins.

Nice to hear Gable is good to go. Hope we can establish a run game tonight...definitely been a problem with the Esks so far.

Why am I always worried when the Esks go second and short?

Sometimes I wonder if they should decline a 7 yard gain on first down.

Not real confident in the Eskimos right now but the did move the ball until they handed it off.

So there must not have been a penalty as advertised.
