    Attention 2018 NCAA Thread

A little overdue to start a new thread for the season.

Watching the Georgia / Missouri game while waiting on the Esks game, the announcers mentioned that they have introduced a countdown clock for TV timeouts. It allows the teams to prepare for when the play will be whistled in, and speeds up the process to cut down on wasted time. Excellent idea.

... and Missouri lost. I really thought they'd come back in this one, but it wasn't meant to be.

I saw the TV timeout clock when I attended the Vanderbilt game against Nevada a few weeks ago. It's a really cool feature and gives the fans an idea of how long they have to wait between whistles.

Missouri does well against bad teams but very poorly against the better teams...Navy lost in OT today I just can't buy a break today

I see Mike Riley was the problem with Nebraska football. Cornhuskers 0-3 and took a pounding from Michigan yesterday 56-10. I talked to Mike once when he was with the Blue Bombers. A really nice person. He's back at Oregon State as asst / head coach.

Ohio university has a Canadian QB and RB playing meaningful snaps. Both worth watching for in the CFL draft process in the next couple years.

Mizzou DL #29 is from Toronto.... He played well. Look for him in the CFL draft.

Notre Dame WR Chase Claypool had a real nice TD last weekend too. He's from BC.

Well that's all nice information but how is that going to help me pick some 29.5 point underdogs?

Just a heads up that the college super bowl is on tonight. Clemson & 'Bama again. Two QB's that down the road could be # 1 picks. Even though Clemson beat the snot out of my Notre Dame guys I hope they kick 'Bama's butt.

Success costs. Football Scoop reporting that Clemson has now joined Alabama as the only college football teams with three assistant coaches making over a million dollars a year.

Putting this here because I’m not where else to put it. It’s NCAA, but more 2019 than 2018 & more basketball than football at this point.

NCAA reversed the Rich Paul rule today. It was ridiculous to pass it in the first place....especially given that it was directed at 1 person who happened to be outside of the [insert adjective of choice here, there are many choices] boys’ club rather than addressing system issues or failures.
