Poll Who's your team for the playoffs?

I understand a lot of people will be pulling for the Lions, to support Hervey, Odell and so on. Personally, I'm hoping for Winnipeg, after Nichols got the monkey off his back, and so that Bomber fans can shed the "1990" taunts that greenwhite fans have been casting their way for so long.

Who are you hoping to go all the way this year, now that the Esks are out?

As a self proclaimed mommas boy, I gotta cheer for my moms Bombers!

Hervey and the Lions as well.

Ottawa. To a lesser extent Hamilton though having Tillman there plays a role in not wanting them to win.

Still smarting over the Esks missing the playoffs - LAST PLACE 5th PLACE in WEST. For ..

BC and/or Winnipeg, I guess. Always liked each of them.

I kinda wouldn't mind seeing Winnipeg win it just because as a Redskins fan I know what it's like not seeing your team with a championship for decades

Re: Who's your team for the playoffs?

Do I have to pick ??

Winnipeg - Nichols can eff off.
Calgary - Not a friggin chance.
Sask - That should be our D
    Hammy - Sitterhands.
    Ottawa - workman attitude
    BC - Eskimos West

So I suppose i'll play along. BC - another FU to Edmonton and Rhodes, and if it helps leads to Rhodent to being fired/quitting I am all in.

I’m hoping for a WPG vs BC final. I can find reasons to be satisfied if either wins.

Another reason I wouldn’t mind Ottawa is it’ll ease the burden of losing MR when we have the grey cup winning QB replacing him...

Re: Who's your team for the playoffs?

i'll say BC. Hervey aside, also be cool to see Buono leave with a cup.

As for wpg? never was a fan of the pouty Nichols when things didn't go his way.

    Cgy? nah...

SSK? hell nawwww. Still hate CJ the most.

HAM would also be nice... Masoli has quietly been a baller... for whatever reason, he doesn't get much credit. Silently goes about his way.

I won’t cheer on anyone... just enjoy the football as a neutral

I wouldn’t be mad if caretaker bob finally got a cup.. but I don’t think hammy can win it..

Calgary might just bloody win it now..

    underdog!!
they decimated by injuries to receiving core

not sure how SSK offense will hold up... Collaros status unsure.

BTW anyone watch TOR game?Franklin is just brutal.
I said it when he was here, I wasn't fully sold.
although...he might need a larger sample size even in TOR...but... he hasn't shown much promise. doesn't seem to command the huddle well. more of a jokester

Aren’t they playing in the East semi-final as of yesterday?

The Blue Bombers, easily, with the Tiger-Cats a distant second and the Lions third.

Re: Who's your team for the playoffs?

BC - Would be nice to see Wally win one last Cup and for Swerve to have another F*ck you to the BoD here in our own barn.
Sask - Hell no! Arrogance is already rife in the fanbase there so nope...
Stumps - They might make it to the dance but they're amazing at choking in the big game. ABC...
Bombers - They haven't won since 1990...they're due and playing well at this point. Wouldn't be sad to see them hoist the Cup.
Ottawa - While the TW would be happy and it would be impressive to see them win again so soon after coming back to the League - I don't think Harris can keep calm enough to pull it off.
Hamilton - Tillman (patooie!!) aside, they're my East team and always have been so I will always root for them if we're not playing.

Still cranky that we could potentially have a better record than the second place team in the East and because we're in a stronger division we don't get to the playoffs...
Sorry everyone for not contributing anything to this board... My bad?

I understand...but any team that finishes 5th out of 5, in any division, doesn't deserve a shot at the mug.

Re: Who's your team for the playoffs?

What if they went to one division though? I understand that Toronto is the center of the universe and all but it doesn't make any sense that even though a team can have a better record than the first place team in the other division they don't get a playoff spot. That's a whole other argument though.

BC has always been my #2 team, even moreso now given the Hervey vs Rhodes factor.

I wouldn't mind seeing BC winning the cup. If Hervey is in the middle of the stage holding up the cup, maybe it will force the board to make real change. The Esks won't be a successful football team without proper leadership which they don't currently have.
Remember winning is not enough according to Len Rhodes, President of a professional sports team.

Re: Who's your team for the playoffs?

I'm really hoping that we'll see the Blue Bombers and Tiger-Cats add to their storied history of Grey Cup meetings:

    1953 Hamilton 12 Winnipeg 6
    1957 Hamilton 32 Winnipeg 7
    1958 Winnipeg 35 Hamilton 28
    1959 Winnipeg 21 Hamilton 7
    1961 Winnipeg 21 Hamilton 14 (OT)
    1962 Winnipeg 28 Hamilton 27
    1965 Hamilton 22 Winnipeg 16
    1984 Winnipeg 47 Hamilton 17

I'd like to see BC come out of the east and Winnipeg come out of the west.

(As opposed to 2011 when Winnipeg came out of the east and BC came out of the west...)

    1. Winnipeg. Their fans have waited a long time and I would like to see Mike O'Shea win as a coach. Don't like Nicholls but can live with him winning.
    2. Ottawa - like Rick Campbell and their fans are pretty good.

    3. The rest
BC - As much as Ed Hervey seemed like he might be a decent GM and got screwed here, personally, I never liked his personalty and arrogance.
    Saskatchewan sucks....well, because Saskatchewan
    Hamilton - Tillman/Austin
