Everyone has their own right on what they think of an individual. No question
Uncle Pervie has never "turned around a team". IIRC he never made the playoffs in OTT & was an unmitigated disaster here. When you actually look at his wins, he took a BC team that had Bill Comrie spend every last dollar he had on Kent Austin and Danny Mac as QB's, was a 4th place team in the west that caught fire late and went on a run. They missed the playoffs the very next year and he was gone. In TOR he took over from a GC winning 15-3 team built by Greg Mohns and Don Matthews with Flutie at QB and repeated as champs. When Flutie left the next year the Argos missed the playoffs and he was gone again. In SK that team for a decade averaged 8 wins, he got them to a 10 win season and was lucky enough to play against Ryan Dinwiddie in the GC. The next year they were back to an 8 win season.

Pervie doesn't build sh*t. He's an opportunist. Nothing more.
I hit them as hard as I could on the mouth right from the start of the game so they were thinking this was going to be a long day. Sooner or later one of us had to quit. And it wasn't going to be me.

You do remember correctly they didn't make the playoffs in Ottawa under him I think the most he had was 5-6 wins

Hearing that Calgary Stampeder season ticket holders are being told that they need to renew their tickets to have first dibs on seats for the Grey Cup, but it will take a two-year renewal to ensure they get the same seats as their season tickets. Bold move in Calgary to lock in fans for two years.

Lots of guys off to the NFL now.

Shows that the league does have some talent after all, just needs to be exposed.

Wow, that's dirty. Particularly for the longtime season ticket holders. That makes Rhodes look darn near respectable.

Playing with Steelers pretty heady stuff. Best of luck to him.

Lol. It's not like he's the first to try that nor will be the last. However this Lions fan wished he'd stop with the schtick. Maybe try to sell it once, maybe twice. After that it just looks unprofessional. Ref's should treat it just like receivers mocking throwing a flag for PI.

I would think that an old school coach like Wally would have had a chat with him about the integrity of the game. Every time I see a DB throwing his hands up to the sky in disbelief when he gets flagged - even though he absolutely knows he committed a foul - I think the same thing. It's all about the sell job. Sort of like life these days, unfortunately.

Agreed. I have no issue if they try to sell it a bit when there is a bit of contact or when its very close, but on some of his there wasn’t even a player close to him. It was just so ridiculous.

Wally might have done that but maybe there was a relapse. He tried it twice if I recall in the same game fairly early in the season. Didn't really see it again until a game late in the season.

Never understood why players would do stuff like that. If I were a ref and saw how you made me look, the next time I was doing one of your games you qouldnt get any borderline calls

Totally agree. In the eastern semi final Hamilton put up 48 points against the BC defence.

I've said it once, I'll say it again...anything that makes the Stumps weaker is a good thing. I just hate CFL guys going south. No matter what team they're coming from.

All star LB, dressed for every game in three years at Calgary and also played on the ST's and a national. Heck of resume. Hope he has a long career down south. Played here a bit chippy , always a bit of a late shot or elbow but never seemed to get called for it.
