    Food Swapping Recipes ??

I know I know....this is a football forum, but we've had all kinds of topics come up here over the years and I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a thread for their favorite recipes? I posted my Holiday Nog and Not So Irish Cream ones before and it was followed by a Hot Buttered Rum drink one that wasn't bad!
And there was much rejoicing... yaayyy....

Yes! Food is good! I personally fancy myself to be really really good at preparing meat in particular. From bbqing to smoking to roasting to frying, I love preparing meat!

Why not? Share the recipes, and if someone doesn't want them, there is nothing obligating them to opening the thread. Just like if someone doesn't want to see shiny-clad booty, they don't have to open that thread.

    Boydo's BBQ Sauce

    1 tbs. Onion Powder
    1 tbs. Minced Garlic
    3/4 cup whiskey (dealer's choice)
    1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
    1 tsp. Kosher Salt
    1 tsp. Seasoning Salt (non-msg)
    2 cups Ketchup
    1 can Tomato Paste
    3 tbs. Mustard
    1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
    2 tbs. Liquid Smoke
    1/4 cup Worchesterchsiresheireisieir Sauce
    1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar
    1 tbs. Paprika
2 tsp. Hot Sauce (dealer's choice again)
    1 tsp. Montreal Steak Spice

Fling everything into a sauce pot and mix with immersion blender. Bring to a slow boil for about 1/2 an hour. Stir a lot so it doesn't stick. Should cook the water out and get nice and thick as it cools. Really good on chicken and pig.
And there was much rejoicing... yaayyy....

    Re: Swapping Recipes ??

    Grammy's fudge

    3 cups sugar
    3/4 cup margarine
    160 ml evaporated milk
    3 cups (500 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    200 g jar marshmallow cream
    1 tsp vanilla

Mix sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk, bringing to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 min (stirring constantly, otherwise the sugar will burn). Remove from heat, stir in chocolate chips until melted. Stir in marshmallow cream and vanilla, then pour into a greased pan. Allow to cool, then cut into 1" squares (though make sure to eat some while it's warm, with a tall glass of milk).

My daughter doesn't want birthday cake for her birthday parties, she wants me to make this fudge every year.

Variations are limited to your imagination, substitute the chocolate chips and vanilla extract:
-substitute with white chocolate chips and 3 tbsp maple extract for vanilla fudge
-substitute with butterscotch chips and rum extract for butter rum fudge
-substitute with white chocolate chips and candied orange Italian syrup for orange creamsicle fudge
-substitute with salted caramel chips and caramel extract for salted caramel fudge
-pour out half the chocolate fudge, spread it evenly, then add dollops of peanut butter across the surface, spread evenly, then pour the remaining fudge mixture over top for chocolate peanut butter fudge
-add the nuts of your choice for a chocolate nut fudge
    -etc, etc

    Re: Swapping Recipes ??

My ex didn't like my cooking so never let me cook. Granted, my recipes were fairly bland, partly because I'd never really done much cooking prior to getting married, so how was I supposed to get better? My girlfriend loves my cooking, so now I cook for her all the time, and I'm always adding new recipes to my repertoire. In fact, we're having friends over for dinner tomorrow, and she insisted that I make my Fettuccine Alfredo for them, with my chocolate lava cake for dessert.
