Charles must not have been ready as the natural switch would have been removing Vickers for Charles, then they could have stuck with Bond at LT. Maybe Bond didn't grade out well there?

    - - - Updated - - -

Also wondering if the Glass/Johnson switch is a matchup thing as Glass has sick vertical

If he’s not the healthy scratch, I would expect Bond to play some LT as well....
And with both Diggs & Santos-Knox on the roster, maybe one of them is scratched?
    Stay tuned....

Re: Eskies vs Lions - Can we get the sweep???

So they have Kilgore starting who might be slightly banged up. I thought I read some minor concern on twitter. Anyone confirm that? Regardless, he has his struggles.

They have a rookie left tackle and Kelly on the other side. On top of that, Gable who's a good blocker is out and Cooper who's no where near as good of a pass blocker is in. So the BC ends might have a field day.

They have a kick returner as a starting wide receiver.

The defense is the same except for Knox starting at linebacker. Prediction, Hunter gets targeted early and often and Burnham, the leagues leading receiver lights him up.

How our OL holds up vs BC DL is what will determine this game.

I heard he was held out of practice for one day so ya he is slightly nicked up. Another defensive change is Glass starting in place of Johnson, wonder what brought on this switch? Was it a matchup thing, is he slightly banged up or did he not grade out well last week?

If we can get even 80% of the pressure we got on them early in the season, our D will be fine.

Yikes....I think our QB is going to be white-knuckling most of the way. Have to think Willis and Lemon will get some pressure on him.

Crossing fingers and hoping for the best but not terribly confident in this group right now...

BC lines are both much better than they were in the 2 previous games vs Edmonton.

    Don’t forget Newsome.

That all being said, BC’s wins were against Toronto (2 - 1 which was bc Rainey stepped out of bounds on the rouge to tie) & Ottawa (2) plus a gift from Khari so, as much as I’m hoping BC wins, nothing’s a lock & there is no over-confidence coming from this direction.

I am getting a sick feeling in my stomach that the Lions cruise to an easy win tomorrow. If the Lions lose, they are done so Reilly won't go down without a fight.

I have no confidence we can win with Kilgore at QB. Interesting we have dressed 3 QBs

Is one going to be the scratch? Or is Kilgore a little more dinged than we thought

You’re allowed to dress 3 QB’s so nobody will be scratched.
There’s been several games this season where we’ve dressed only 2 & in fact the Lions have dressed only 2 all season....

I will say that I am excited to see Cooper tomorrow and I could absolutely foresee us hopping on his back with the majority of his offense. I think the kid is that good. It's understandable why the veteran Gable has had the call but these are the kind of situations where the new kid takes over the job. Just hope his blocking is adequate....

early success by him = we have a chance. If they shut him down we may be in for a long night.

For those asking about Johnson, my understanding is he missed some practise days this week with an unspecified injury.

No kidding, Cooper and Santos-Knox could end up being huge additions for this game.

Paper shows we should beat BC with theD...but game time we still have killgore. He plays like crap we get miminal points and the D ends up on the field a lot. If they get tired Reilly should be able to pick them apart.

I hope we see another 6 sacks on Reilly and the D is constantly in his beard.

The Eskimos won the time of possession in the past two games and in the two games previous to those had about 29 minutes. Don't see why they can't keep the TOP even or better.

Hopped on a plane from Kelowna for the game today... Watched us kick BC’s butts at BC Place earlier this year but not so confident in our chances tonight.

I think Reilly will be tough to beat tonight but you never know in the CFL right! I think Bo Levi still top dog as far as QB's go. He seems to be getting his mojo back. I still maintain tonights game is the only chance Esks have to win another game this season and I wouldn't bet any $ on it. My crystal ball has Stamps vs Cats in the GC game. (and I would really like to be wrong as of course I hate the Stamps but you have to admire the organization. Like the Esks used to be!)

First play of the game, Santos-Knox stuffs White for a 2 yard gain.

Reilly's out...doesn't look good. Might have broken a bone in his hand, wrist, or arm.

Last man standing for QB's looks like he might be gone for the season.
