After leaving Saturday's game in Calgary #Eskimos OL David Beard was at practice today. REC Greg Ellingson and LB Jonathon Walton also present. P Hugh O'Neill didn't practice however. #CFL

This is going to be one of the more interesting depth charts in awhile as we could conceivably be adding Walton, Ellingson, Jones, Unamba and Orange but who will come off to make room and where will the go? We have two coming off for sure (Stafford and Jackson) leaving 1 DB and 2 linebackers to come off. My guesses for those would be Bazzie and Walker at LB and Taylor at HB.

Sounds like AJ wasn't overly fond of Jacksons style, will be interesting to see if there is a difference.
Special teams coordinator A.J. Gass says KR Christion Jones fits the philosophy of the return game because he rarely reverses field, picks a lane and takes it. Jones says he knew he wasn't in the plans anymore in Sask. Happy to have new life with the #Eskimos #CFL

Donut Dave has pushed the narrative that we made this trade because Jackson got hurt leaving us without a returner.
Am I the only one who thinks this move would’ve happened regardless of the injury? Jackson had 2 good games after the bye but he’s been ineffective in the others and was downright horrible against Calgary.
I got the feeling the fumble was the straw that broke the camels back.
I think Dave Campbell probably has it right. I have a feeling the Esks were probably looking at releasing somebody else to make some roster room anyway; when Jackson went down they probably need to revise things and move a player with value to another club that actually brought some return... or in our case, a returner. Of course based on the play of Jackson, it is very possible they have been thinking about this move for a while. I have no idea why they waited until he went down with an injury to put Shai Ross back there. They should have been alternating to look at options a couple games ago.
It's funny because I think most of Jackson's more successful returns were through finding a gap and running like hell. It's when he was dancing around back there that things went bad. Should have listened to the coaches.

I dunno i think he was going to be gone after his showing in Calgary. Three kick off returns under 5 yards ? Good bye.
Get the ball go forward. No stopping, no reversing field, no dancing.

The Edmonton Eskimos have named Chris Presson as the club’s new president and CEO. His term will begin on Sept. 1, 2019.

I can't wait to have Unamba and Orange back on the field.

I agree with you. The defense has been pretty darn good even with all the injuries, it's the offense and special teams that has dragged the team down. The Esks are real good at moving the ball up and down the field but once they get inside the 20, they can't put it in the endzone even close to being good enough. The special teams are what they are. Different coaches, different guys, same result.

#Eskimos will bring in UBC kicker Greg Hutchins who was around in training camp. Not sure if he gets into a game but he will provide some relief for Sean Whyte in practice. Also RB Alex Taylor has been activated off the 1-game injured list. REC Harry McMaster moves to the PR #CFL
