I think that CTV should announce that they will be broadcasting the Grey Cup Game.

    Wow.

Although, if there's a team that can survive without a QB, it's the Bombers.

Wow. Tough for Matt. Hope he has a solid rehab and is throwing strong next year.

One of the Mrs. fav. country singers. An Aussie that is married to Nicole Kidman.

LIGHTYEARS ahead of when they had Bieber perform.

I'm not personally a fan, but that's quite a catch. I'd argue a better catch than the Super Bowl's in terms of relevance in music today.

    That's a solid halftime show!

The wife now wants to go to Calgary for the game! May have to try and get tickets...

Yikes, wonder what they are going to look like in a few weeks when the way Streveler plays take a tole on his body.

Good point about Streveler. He looks like a RB carrying the ball. Wonder if he gets orders to hit the deck now rather than fight for yardage. Might be interesting tonight with Hammy in Winnipeg, cheapshot artist Simoni Lawrence might be headhunting again.

Reminds me of Blake Marshall back in the day.

Re: Around the CFL - 2019

So Bo Levi Mitchell came back to the CFL because Minnesota wanted him to be a back-up & he wanted to be the starter.

Why is that such a big deal?

Personally, I think he’s crazy for not taking the money for a few years - he can always come back to the CFL - but to each their own. Kirk Cousins has a fully guaranteed contract, $84 millions worth! He had to know when he tried out that that alone essentially pre-determined where he would be on the depth chart.

Really? He wanted to just walk in and take starter's job on Day 1? Hadn't heard that.

If I'd been him, I'd have given it a shot too. Make the money, showcase what you've got. Earn the starter's spot. If it doesn't work out, as you say, the CFL will welcome him back.

Who wants to make his money while he's still healthy and young enough.

Don't blame the guy at all. The CFL pays peanuts.

But then why didn’t he take the back up job in Minnesota? It would have paid more than his $700k or whatever, no?

^Because he's a dummy who doesn't realize the starter is an injury away from an opportunity?

In other news, Jim Popp was fired today by the Argos.

Popp did cut Poop earlier on though, so he apparently isn't a fan of Poop.

Re: Around the CFL - 2019

Was thinking something was up with Popp's future when reading the 3DownNation article on Sept. 27th that Pinball was asked by the Argo president to assist Chamblin & Popp. Still can't believe Popp released Chris Van Zeyl before the start of the season. All star Cdn O linemen are a precious commodity. An hour later Van Zeyl is in Hamilton solidifying an already good Oline.

I don;t think the pinball to gm will do much, other than just be a big name from the past to be honest.
