Sorry for the slight delay folks, was traveling.

Looks like 3rd and Long's stranglehold on the pool lead might be under some threat...his lead is down to two points, and several players are barking at his heels. Bone, naf, and SKIP12 need a win to catch him, and piz, Looner, and OK14 (! who made his picks all at the beginning of the season) are another point behind.

    All to play for!

That time of the week again! Most of the games look like there are clear favourites...but there's never a week without an upset or two. Who'll it be this week?

Holy crap have I been close 2 games in a row, but no luck with extra points. The Calgary Hamilton game I predicted 22-29 Hamilton and it ended up 23-30, then last night I predicted 17-27 Calgary and it ended up 16-26! So close! If only it were horseshoes or hand grenades!

Big shake-up at the top this week. 3rd & Long's lead has evaporated, and there are EIGHT plays within two points of the lead! 3rd is joined at the top by bone (with an incredible record of 19-4) and naf. Piz and Looner are just a point behind, and eskfan152, Skip, and OK14 are just one pick from joining the others at the top.

Really, really tight right now. Setting up perfectly for me to roar up to the top from (way) behind.

Three interesting games this week (the other is the Eskimo game), some tough choices. Hopefully we'll see the spate of blowouts so far this season dissipate as the weaker teams start to catch up. Well, after Thursday anyway.

Almost anyone could be in first place after this week...so don't forget to make your picks!

Kind of an odd week...only one team scored more than 26 points, and that was a team that threw for only 169 yards.

Anyway, we all managed to score more than the Argos did! And most of us scored more than the Lions (outside of two KR TD's).

3rd & Long returns to the lead, with Ang, Looner, and...wait for it...piz! just a point behind. With bone and SKIP12 just another point behind, it's still really close.

I can’t buy a bonus point to save my life. Still have none and 3 times this week I was 1 point away from getting one.

Might need to trade assets away at the deadline.

Quarterback carousel continues to shake things up around the league...does that give Sask enough to overpower the Cats? Will anyone ever pick the Argos to win a game again? Can BC get more offense than last week? They're not playing, but they don't need much

Maybe you should have Not that I did either...in fact Esksfans went a collective 0-24 on that game.

Surprising week in a couple of ways...leaves 3rd & Long once again with a 3-point lead atop the standings, ahead of Looner and Angelus. Piz and OK14 (who picked all the games before the season started) are still in shouting distance. Still pretty close, other than 3rd regaining his lead. Let's reel him in again next week!

It's that time of the week! Three of the four games have "obvious" winners...but based on my recent record, obvious winners aren't winning. Argh.

After this week, we have a new leader!

Angelus, going 4-0 with a bonus point, makes his move from three points back to take a two point lead on 3rd & Long. Looner, SKIP12, bone, and Wilkie12 aren't far behind.

Note that piz did make his picks this week. Piz, we're thinking of ya!

Phew. That Montreal-Calgary game took it out of me!

With Angelus coming in with a two-point lead, 3rd & Long managed to go 3-1 while Ang went 2-2...but a bonus point has Ang still in the lead by a single point! In third place two points behind are bone, Looner, and SKIP12. Still really tight at the top!

Piz made his picks again this week. He went 2-2, but I'm calling this week a victory for piz. Woot! Hope there are many, many more.

Hard to know what to make of this week's games. With the QB changes, each one of these games could be a thriller, or a snoozer. (Wouldn't mind if the first one's a snoozer, in the right direction.)

Maybe a chance to gain some ground in the pool. Make your picks!

Did I miss some QB injuries this week. I only knew about Nichols.

Re: Official Esksfans 15th Annual (2019) CFL Pool Thread - With Prizes!

Overall though there are clear favorites in 3 of the 4 games, with the toss up being WPG/EDM because of Nichols' injury.

However, we're at the point in the season where sometimes the landscape changes suddenly.

At some point, you'd think BCs offense finally lights someone up, but can it be against Hamilton's defense... again, and would their defense make enough of a difference to hold Hamilton back? BC has been monumentally worse at home though, so a victory here would be a surprise.

Ottawa's offense is so inconsistent and Saskatchewan's defense has settled into being a strength again. Can Ottawa hold off Fajardo enough to sneak a low scoring win... Doubtful with Saskatchewan being the home team.

Toronto is showing signs of life, but Montreal has won 4 of the last 5 that Adams has started (the sole loss he was injured and they lost in OT). However, Toronto is the home team and this one has potential for an upset with McBeth reigning in his interceptions the last two games.
