Jackson came back from the bye a completely different player.

We’ve gotten the field position and cut down the penalties. Makes the game so much more manageable when you aren’t shooting yourself in the foot.

I hope Benevides is taking notes on the panel. That’s how you run a defence!

Best D in the league. I feel bad thinking they'd give up 17 tonight. And every damn player but Mondo is a Sunderland guy.

I am happy. What a night.

Lolley is an early season MVP. He said they’d be coming. They are. And they’re getting after it.

That is a character building win. The Esks were already playing solid but they cranked it up a notch after the CFL declared open season on Harris.

It feels like we might have something brewing with this team.

Re: Eskimos vs Lions Act 2

    Great game

Brock deserves credit for sticking with Jason and bringing in lots of good players, both cfl veterans and rookies from ncaa.

Jason deserves credit for firing Bene and bringing in Lolly. Only wish that happened 2-3 years ago

Lolly deserves credit for being awesome. Hope other teams don’t figure him out too quick.

How will we take Diggs out when Santos Knox gets back ?

    Hope O’ Donnell is ok.

Reilly’s efficiency ratio must be around 70.

Who knew when you spend all the money on a qb the roster suffers elseewhere? Ironic in this case that it’s the Oline and they spent all that money on Reilly for him to spend half the game on his ass. Maybe Ed isn’t as smart as we thought?

I don’t feel bad Reilly left any more at all. He is good but we had 2 of the best receivers in the league and an excellent offensive coordinator his whole time here. Both of those helped his stats. He has neither of those items in BC and a terrible Oline to boot.

I don't think BC's Oline is all that terrible when they were all healthy. They had only given up 5 sacks through their 3 other games...and perhaps its the Eskimos who deserve that credit for making them look ordinary. As good as MR was for us; he definitely had a penchant for getting happy feet if he was hit early. There were a few times where he didn't have anyone in his face tonight and he was firing it away.

Well, the Eskimos managed to win the penalty battle again tonight 12-8. Hardly even noticed it. Many of them came late in the game.

Another player who absolutely stood out on the teams was 38 Walton. A quick look shows 4 (!!!) special teams tackle and also got some time in when Diggs sat down in the 4th...

Re: Eskimos vs Lions Act 2

The past few years, this is exactly the type of game the Esks would have lost (team you should beat, game for the season series, opponent on a short week, ect). It was a game that the team should be up for, but then they would ultimately come out flat and lose thereby pissing away an opportunity to put themselves in a good position. It was so nice to see this years team do the opposite of that and just come out and take care of business tonight. It wasn’t flashy or even that exciting, it was just everyone doing their jobs. I think we’ve got ourselves a contender here folks, let’s hope injuries don’t derail that.
    Is it game day yet?????
