Looks like I’m going to have to write Randy another letter.

I wonder what he will send me this time? Last time it was an apology letter and an autographed football.

Looks like we really really miss Matt O'donnell.

    No blocking on returns

We seem not to be interested in making passes longer than 10 yards. Can't tell me Montreals secondary is that good.

D folding in the secondary as soon as hightower left the game.

Ellingson on swing passes ? really ??

**** game to convert this into a **** weekend. NOT HAPPY
They aren’t. They give up 52% completion on passes over 20 yards (last in cfl) and 10.0 yards per passing play (2nd last). This is on the Esks offence.

You can’t rule if illegal contact was missed, straight from the rulebook.

Alright, with the weather delay I can ask the question about a call in the first quarter.

Esks 3rd and 1 somewhere around their own 25. They run a play and fall short. A flag turns out to be procedure against the Esks. The officials apply the penalty making it 3rd and 6, and we can punt. Khari was livid. I still don't get it.

Rod and Duane said later that maybe the procedure call was before the play, but they ran the entire play and there were no whistles that I could hear until after the play ended. What gives?? Did we get a turnover taken off the board by the officials?

You’d think they would have a meteorologist make the weather decisions.

It looked like the procedure happened before the ball was snapped, how it wasn't whistled dead is beyond me... but this CFL officiating so shouldn't shock me.

Guessing someone forgot to blow the whistle? A procedure penalty should generally lead to a whistle prior to the snap.....

The only thing that would have negated the turnover is if a whistle happened before or shortly after the snap.

Same goes for the missed fg, I don’t think the ball hit the post. In one replay from the end zone you can see the ball spinning and the spin doesn’t change.

Stafford TD not counting and the pick being mysteriously over ruled really took the air out their sails.

I don't think illegal contact is a something a coach can challenge - just pass interference. I think that changed last season.

That ball definitely hit the post.

The officials also didn’t mark the spot. So a whistle must of went.

Coaches can’t challenge for it but there is nowhere in the rule book that says the eye in the sky can call illegal contact, turnover or no.

It was a missed call, just like the numerous missed holding calls on the Als, so I’m quite confused as to how it was called.

You saying illegal interference isn’t illegal contact?

They were all going for the ball, no different when Montreal had two defenders on one of our receivers earlier in the game!

Man, the key moments in our favour are all being cancelled out by penalties.

    Sounds familiar.

The illegal interference that is challengable applies to downfield blocking by the offense.

Wasn't interference...must have happened before Adams threw the ball.

Look at the holding on that last play! The Esk defender had two separate Als holding each arm.

Flag was in the end zone, next to the intended receiver.
