How does a 191 yard game get a QB the player of the game? A lot better players on the other side of the ball. Loffler, for one.

In a close game I hate questionable calls by the officials.

I hope whatever happened to Hightower isn't long term because without him the secondary.. WOOF
We missed O'donnell. Still decent pass protection but not run blocking.

Why is Ellingson being used on swing passes? Get him Down field.

Who would have thought our top first look receivers would be Collins and Stafford. Unless Montreal is blanketing Ellingson and Daniels - you will not win with those two being your WR1 and WR2...

    Sit Kelly please.

I do like Martese Jackson's returns. The guy just doesn't go down. Been a while since we had a returner.

TSN has been really pushing this narrative of the emergence of Adams.

Me too.. now if we could only get return blockers to actually try to block players.

I’m all for credit where it’s due but the Als give up 3.25 offensive TDs a game. They didn’t magically become an incredible shutdown defence.

The Esks just laid a massive turd on offence.

Anyone else a bit worried we have scored two touchdowns in our last 12 quarters of football?

There's a lot wrong with this offense. As i've said I think Ellingson is being used wrong. We dont stretch the field enough. Collins and Stafford should never been R1 and R2.

Too much dink and dunk never challenged them vertically even a bit.

I know its not the Jason Maas way, but wouldn't a QB change MAYBE helped. if your QB/offence is struggling, Couldn't hurt to try. guessing there are other factors involved.

100% it’s time to pump the brakes a bit on the Esks. 3-2 with 2 wins against a garbage Lions team.

11 offensive TDs in 5 games and 7 of them came against a garbage Lions team.

Offence might not be as good as they had appeared.

Defence has proved solid though and will keep them in games.

D has been a surprise. It'll only get better as the season goes on. Even better if they can curb the penalties.

The O, on the other hand, needs something. Ellingson ( and used more than just bloody swing passes) and Daniels needs to be involved a lot more. I do not have any confidence in Stafford or Collins to be first and second reads on a constant basis.

Not really, Jason Maas has yet to deliver a disappointing offense in his coaching career. The season is young, they'll get it sorted out.

Kept trying the same plays on 1st down and usually ended up 2nd and long. Someone should tell our receivers that it's legal to block when another receiver catches the ball. If you want to be a spectator go sit in the stands.

Same players getting the penalties again. 41 & 67 . Seems to be no " consequences". Thought the ST tackling has really improved. This loss is on the O.

This game felt like an awful lot last season. Defence holding on until it wears down while offense as a whole stinks for long periods...

You are right that it’s early for sure. What I will say is Maas’ offense was greatly disappointing for the last half of last year. But you’re right it’s early...

That was the second half of the season when the wheels were falling off, but your right that was probably the worst stretch for a Maas offence since he started. But this is a team that's turned over more than 60% of it's roster since then and shown way more positives than negatives through five games. This was their worst game to date and they were still right in it up until the end.

On the plus side, penalties were down over all, but unfortunately the ones we got cost us 4 points at the end of the first half and two momentum changing INT's in the second.

Daniels was apparently injured on a play when he was blocking. Yet no update from the TSN guy on the sideline....

Not much to say other than a pretty pathetic effort by the offense. Penalties, guys dropping balls, Oline wasn't very good. Harris wasn't very sharp. Even the kicker missed a few. Down by 10 and you are deciding to throw a 5 yard pass instead of going down field. Hmmm..... But I bet his completion percentage is real good.

Not sure Iíd agree fully about offences historically. The latter half of last year was putrid - but Iím not sure if I place the blame squarely on Maas.

Harris is doing a lot of good things. They almost beat the best team in the league if not for some awful drops on catchable balls. They were in todayís game too.

As much as I agree on the lack of TDs the past couple games, Whyte left points on the field today that might have got the job done. Montreal stopping the run today was also a factor we havenít seen this year.

I like the O, but would like to see a few more receiving threats worked out. It also wouldnít hurt to run red zone offence drill scenarios constantly in practice if we donít already.

The offense is fine except for the fact I think it's a bit conservative. All the dinking and dunking. It's great for ball control and pads the QB stats but when they get down like they did today, I worry about their ability to come back.

Doesn't help having some calls go against us and some self inflicted wounds.... Not the loss so much for me as missed opportunities... To be 4-1 heading home to play a 0-5 Argos would have been wonderful

Way I see it it's always hard to win on the road in pro sports.... Win 90% at Home steal a couple on the road and those 10 wins are possible...

Won't be going back and rewatching this one anytime soon! Lol

Out at the lake today so had to listen to Morley and Dave. In other words I had no idea what was going on. On the three big plays that all got negated by penalty I heard Nothing about there being a flag on the play until well after the fact.

Learned some of them had been overturned from the stadium announcer before the broadcast crew.
