Ravens offense gonna shock the world.

I truthfully think the Ravens have a massive range (12-4 and 4-12 are both very possible), but the man who ran the Colin Kaepernick offense in 2012 is running Lamar Jackson's offense now. Very similar skill set. Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst is going to be a great TE combination. They added 3 guys who run sub 4.4's in Brown, Boykin and Hill. Ingram can be a bell cow. They're gonna be a lot of fun to watch and everyone is sleeping on Jackson.

The only thing I'm sure about in that division is that the Bengals will finish last.

Duke Williams was targeted twice but had zero catches in his first preseason game for Buffalo. Someone on the radio the other day (I believe Buffalo sport media) said that Williams was in tough for a roster spot, saying his style of game is not a fit with the Bills offense - take that for whatever it is worth.

Bryant Mitchell and Brandon Zylstra get their first shots of the year Friday night. Hopefully they can have better results.

On the note of ticket prices...I just got tickets to a preseason game between the Titans and Patriots this weekend for $51 USD - taxes and fees included.

    Absolutely ludicrous prices in Winnipeg.

Sounds like Duke made an impression tonight. Don't know if it's enough, but have to think with the change to a single cut-down this year, he's going to get the full camp to change minds.

Yes. I see they dropped the lowest price to $94. Best seats are at $439. We'll see if that changes by tomorrow as there are still thousands of seats left and no commitment to play Rodgers.

I guess people in Winnipeg aren't as dumb as Rider fans make them out to be.

A reminder that the Packers/Raiders pre-season game will be on TSN Thursday night.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Hearing it cost over a million dollars to transform the field. Goalpost size, to placing them, marking the field ,etc.

So the NFL preseason game in Winnipeg is only being played on an 80 yard field because there are concerns with the patches that are covering the holes where the CFL goalposts stand.

What a joke. I would be straight up furious if I wasted money on this sham.

Why wouldn't it be a 90 yard field?

    Re: 2019 NFL Thread

I guess the goalpost holes are at both ends. So the "goal line" is the 10 yard line, and the "back of the end zone" is the goal line.

What are they going to do about field goals? They bought new expensive posts that were installed at the back of the end zone...which is now ten yards BEHIND the back of the end zone!

This is one of the most bizarre things I've seen in a football game.

Man, I'd hate to be sitting in the endzone for this one. You're probably 40 yards from the closest play on the field.

I'm sure Oakland didn't want to risk playing on an uneven playing surface

    Re: 2019 NFL Thread

A bit embarrassing for the CFL and especially Winnipeg for sure with playing on a 80 yard field. Question.... I would assume the NFL would have examined the playing field. If this was a concern with the holes from the CFL field gold posts, could have they not noticed before 30 minutes to kick off and had time to correct....

I get confused just watching this game with the end zone starting on 10 yard line...

Doesn't have anything to do with the CFL. But whoever planned and organized this thing didn't pay enough attention.

I'd like to know where the reported one million dollars spent getting the field to NFL standards ended up.
