Riders' are playing the Als' today as well. Any chance for overlap on the telecasts?

    Re: Eskies vs RedBlacks

To the comments made about Harris - and you'll notice, that they haven't been supported by other guys in that room - I am chalking it up as someone's opinion... and someone that isn't relevant to us or this team. It may well be what he's experienced, and it's amazing how differently two lenses can experience the same facts, but I've heard nothing by love for Harris from his O-linemen, past and present. That includes SirV, who followed him here, and both Draheim and Kelly who preceded him here but played with him in Ottawa. Pruneau is perhaps trying to find a rallying call for some teammates.

As for tonight, there will be some interesting changes that will affect matchups on both sides.

    - The communication picked up on the Josh Johnson/Money Hunter pairing last game was interesting. That will fall to the veteran, OJ Orange now to work with Hunter, as Johnson moves to the wide-side half.

    - Maurice Fleming draws in at CB next to DeAndre Farris - a halfback that is new enough in his own right that the Ottawa website lists him as a WR. Sherrod Baltimore is relegated to a backup role, so it would seem like Fleming earned it, but even still, changes to half of the secondary will likely be something that the Esks scheme toward testing their communication on switches. The loss of Corey Tindal is not inconsequential for the RBs, especially when already without Jonathan Rose.

    - New RT that will be facing Boateng and Usher, and Korte at LT is not exactly upper-echelon at this point of his career. Esks can be tested by scrambling QBs, but Davis has also shown the ability to be pressured into mistakes. I expect the pocket to be closing quickly from our edge rushers, and that could have Sewell eating well!

    - RJ Harris remaining out (was rumoured to be getting close) really leaves the RBs without name recognition in their receiving corps. Esks and their highly rated pass defence can't sleep on these guys, but it's not the biggest threat that we've faced in terms of offences to date.

    - As well as Walker played, I expect Unamba to be a difference maker.

Esks are going to steamroll tonight, led by the D.

Curious to see how the snaps and carries are split between Cooper and Gable.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

    Or "if" they'll be split.

To date, Coach Maas hasn't been a guy that typically plays his backup QB unless forced to, and doesn't generally rotate his RBs. Would be a waste of a roster spot not to, and with CmC and Alex Taylor out, it seems unlikely that Cooper is the scratch, but I'm going to be surprised if there is a substantial timeshare.

With 22 Canadians on the roster I'd be floored if it's not a Canadian scratch.

I also don't understand why that rule (having to scratch someone) exists in the first place but I digress.

I've counted it three separate times, and I get 21 Canadians on the roster. I think the error of it being 22 was repeated and taken as fact.

4 Canadians off the roster and 4 Canadians on the roster - same structure as last week when it was an American scratched.

What are you counting Rouyver as and what does he actually count as?

Suspect that's where the confusion is coming from.

Edit: Not saying you're right or wrong, I honestly have no idea how a global player counts.

Rouyer is his own category - a G... just like QBs, they get their own column.

Translation from TSNs garbage: If the Redblacks come out and play hard, they must really hate Trevor Harris.

Or maybe they are pros and will go play football.
