Some interesting comments in regards to Harris. As a leader there is a delicate balance between holding people accountable and pointing fingers.

Esks have just released DB Nick Taylor. Guess they like Money Hunter better & with Orange returning to the lineup someone had to go....
Quite confidant we will win this one... Really looking to see the offense start to click with more consistency with the return of our big targets.
Would be great to pick up a win that isn't on the backs of our defense for once.
Not sure I've seen more changes IN/OUT on a depth chart.
Wow, both McCarty & O’Neill 6-gamed! Shai Ross as well.
Didn’t see CMC go down in the Calgary game?
We get some good guys back & lose more. Sure hope that Whyte can punt decently, otherwise we’re in trouble.

There are better things in the world than beer but beer sort of compensates for not getting them.

I see that with the recent injuries to the o-line, they have 2 back ups now.
Funny that Jones is ahead of Cooper at RB, given his lack of experience with the system.

One of the imports will have to sit—perhaps Bazzie or Cooper?
The guys from the Eskimo Empire podcast are fairly close to the team and they responded with
Haven’t seen one ounce of this with Trevor here. Will be interesting to see how it plays out on the field tomorrow. Friends on again at around 11pm mountain time tomorrow!

People learn from their mistakes and I suspect that the work Maas has done in team bonding helps with this as well

More changes than a stripper changes outfits. Most of them are positive imho not missing a punter or mccarty being out but having all our receiving weapons, getting Cooper on the roster, an improvement at kick return, having Orange and Johnson in the secondary

I asked Campbell he said it was a CDN that would have to get scratched as they have 22 on the 46 and only need to have 21
In Rod we trust
Yes, good to see another face on the Oline. Makes me wonder if Beard is 100 % though. Hopefully we are searching for a national punter.

Don't forget Sunderland is very familiar with the Red Blacks. I can't see him taking on a problem player. Plus Maas was raving about getting Harris here.
I do not like the fact we have Whyte doing both duties. Has he in the past ? I wonder if we might be looking at getting a punter.
Just make every drive a scoring drive. Problem Solved!
I recall Whyte as a punter not having much of a leg, although pretty good on accuracy.
Don't put any stock in the comments on Trevor Harris. It's backed up only by a single very mild quote, and no one here has seen anything but positive team building from him. Sounds like a typical media attempt to stir up interest just before these two teams play each other.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.
Not a lot of National kickers with CFL roster experience. I'd say the best bet out there is Felix Menard-Briere, but that's not a big step up. Whyte can kick fine; I'm just worried about his getting injured from handling all the kicking duties like he did the last time.
I think the key for Whyte in punting will be to try to get a little more hang time and position the ball toward the sideline every kick. I expect to lose about 5 yards per punt compared to Hugh, but ball placement should improve his net average and close the gap between the two of them.
