    Attention 2019 NCAA Thread

Not even sure what division of ball Lyon College plays. I knew we needed a 2019 NCAA thread, and I thought this would be the way to start things off. I'm sure most of us will remember Kris Sweet from his season with us in 2013.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music...

So nice to see something like that happen. Sweet has long ties to the CFL and also Lyon College is where our former Dline coach, Casey Creehan, went to become Associate Director of Athletics and Head Football Coach in 2018.

Morbidly fascinated to see how my Dores will fare in the SEC with a rookie QB and some outstanding veterans on offense (Vaughn and Lipscomb to be exact).
Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

Exciting finish in the Oregon/Auburn game. Freshman QB Bo Nix throws a game winning TD with 9 seconds on the clock to win the game for Auburn. Fun to watch.

Sherwood Park's Chuba Hubbard lit it up first week in football:

Chuba Hubbard didn’t just step into the NCAA spotlight on Friday night.

    He sprinted into it …

Through the massive holes created by his offensive line so that the Canadian running back could put up monster numbers in what was his first game as the feature man in the offence of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

We’re talkin’ serious yardage on a monster night for the kid from Sherwood Park, Alta.

    Just how serious?

Try 26 carries for 221 yards and three touchdowns — career-highs — in the Cowboys’ 52-36 road victory over the Oregon State Beavers.

Anyone watch the Pitt Penn State game? How does Pitt fail 1st and goal from the one they run 3 times can't get one yard then miss the Field goal?
Run the Ball up the gut around the horn it does not matter. We run we win what is so difficult to understand.

Sherwood Park's Chuba Hubbard leads the NCAA in rushing with 938 yards in 5 games (7.3 yards per carry). 2nd on the list is almost 300 yards back.

OSU is playing against # 18 th ranked Baylor today. Game on Fox at 3:PM central. If Chubba remains healthy he likely will be in the NFL .

Notre Dame beats Iowa 33 - 9 in the Camping World Bowl. Canadian wide receiver Chase Claypool from Abbotsford B.C. named game MVP for his seven catches for 146 yds and one TD. Claypool at 6'4 and 230 is projected to be a second day draft choice in the upcoming NFL draft.

After a slow start, LSU has roared to life and taken the game over. Randy Moss' son Thaddeus is also having a night to remember, with two TD catches and some clutch plays to extend drives.

    - - - Updated - - -

The real lowlight of this game has been the officiating. Some absolutely horrendous misses and ludicrous calls by the Pac-12 crew.
