Edmonton police have issued an Amber Alert for Premier Jason Kenney who is nowhere to be found. He was last seen running away in a blue truck with the bumper stickers "personal responsibility" and "Jesus is my Pandemic Response".
Police have been scouring Kenney's favourite pipelines with tracker dogs, baiting him with samples of hydrocarbons.
The 52 year old who has the accountability of a 5 year old, is believed to have been kidnapped or is ducking for political cover during a bad news cycle as Alberta has reported more covid cases than a province 3 times it's size.
It is expected he will be located the moment he gets the chance to blame the federal government for something.

Nail salons for sure. Way too many cases linked to nail salons. Dog Parks and playgrounds as well.

Well crap...guess I don't need to see the family at Christmas after all.

My parents have a place in Yuma and they're still convinced that they're going to get to go down there this winter. (And most of their friends feel the same way from the sounds of it)

This. And we could have had a restricted but relatively normal Christmas. We should have been able to limp into summer/ vaccinations without much further restrictions.

Instead we drug it out, will miss Holiday time with family

Last I checked, we still can't fly to the US though unless it's an essential visit, medical/death etc. I could totally be wrong though.

I have at least one relative that recently went to Mexico completely for leisure. Just had to isolate on return (though I bet he didn't). If we left today, and returned December 28th, our self isolation would expire the same time as these restrictions assuming they don't get extended.

Unless something has drastically changed, I don't think there has ever been a problem to fly to the US. I haven't seen any restrictions.

The land border is closed. Not the air border.

It is US citizens that want to come into Canada that have the restrictions on them.

So based on today's response to revelations of people in Kenny's office and ministers travelling abroad DESPITE federal and his OWN provincial advisories against such activities; his position is, unless you are in violation of the criminal code it's O.K.
There it is; our "esteemed" leader acknowledging that he has no moral compass and is accepting he has no power of leadership over members of his own staff or cabinet.
He cannot keep blaming all the problems on "the feds" or AHS or god knows who else. Jason, you are not just a spectator. Get up off your fat priveledged ass, grow a set of balls, and actually provide the leadership you are being paid for.
Most of the rest of us are making serious sacrifices to fight this very real threat. It's beyond disturbing that our "leader" can stand in front of the cameras and dismiss our concerns and sacrifices with blatant lies while blaming others and minimizing his responsibilities.
