    Re: Official 2005 Predictions thread

I'm not adding up all those totals, I spent all day writing my Math Diploma! Comments shall suffice.

    West:

    1. Edmonton - Because I'm an biased homer at heart.
    2. B.C. - In a dogfight with Edmonton. They don't need CP, at least not this season. Dickenson can get the job done and they are indeed a solid team. I'm looking forward to our matchups this season.
    3. Calgary - I say let the fans get their hopes up, only to have B.C. kick the tar out of 'em in the WSF. Burris has an arm, but not a brain. Copeland will be the marquee man. What they have behind that is very questionable, but the running game may be able to help them out. Higgins hurts, but the D will lead this team this year. There will be a gap from 2nd and 3rd of at least 4-6 points, IMO.
    4. Saskatchewan - No QB, no balance, no chance. Running only gets you so far in the CFL as far as about 6-7 wins, usually. The D thinks a running game gives them rest and eats the clock, but 3-and-outs equal very little rest time no matter how its achieved.
    5. Winnipeg - Sorry about this, as the team has done an admirable job of finding financial stability over the last few years. That said, they don't have a proven anything at QB, and the O-line is full of holes. Roberts can't go anywhere if the D-line has penetration. he's good, but he's not Superman.

    East:

    1. Montreal: They are a team with constant stability and a reliable core. You can't underestimate that.
    2. Toronto: They've kept together as well, but will likely have a case of post GC ennui. Big gap between one and 2.
    3. Hamilton: They need a QB, and they need it now. Players under Ron Lancaster tend to play for too long. This is definite evidence of that. Danny Mac has gotten old and fat, just like Ozzy did, just like and Defence was heading when he left after '97. Brady won't cut it, and the D-line looks likes hell. Look no further than the double E's last season to see the problems that come with an impotent pass rush.
    4. Ottawa: The off-season for this team personnel-wise was hell. The worst team in the East went form bad to worse. Itís that simple.

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Oh god, we share the same birthday. They will never be the same.

I thought it was cool that Tom Cruise and I were born on the same day.

I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.
