This thread is beginning to be derailed again. Can this thread be sliced for a 3rd time?

Just FYI I informed Scott Petersen (the writer of the original article about Mobes) about the little pledge drive we have going here and this is what he had to say...

    Thanks NameWithheld,
Nice of you to keep me posted. I'm not the regular beat writer, so I forwarded the message on. I think it's great that the grassroots fans are doing this. I'm guessing it might be a note as some point, and if anything comes from it, maybe a sidebar typed story. Great gesture.

    Cheers,
    Scott

just to play Devil's Advoacte here... if TNT doesn't score a TD... does all this goodwill vanish? In other words 'Tompkins, because you didn't score we're not going to give your hometown any money.'

    Dear Devil,

This whole thing started out as an incentive for him. I've already made a normal donation and I'd assume others have too.

I suppose that would depend on the individual....as for me I will be donating no matter what, but it is more motivating if he gets it isnt it??

Re: KC's Challenge to fellow Eskfans members - re: Tony Tompkins

How about a donation from esksfans.com itself?

With the recent donations this site has received from it's generous members, we've built up a little bit of fund. I see no reason why some of that cannot be used for a cause like this.

I'm sure whether he scores or not the money will be donated.

Also, that's a great idea, Angelus.

Re: KC's Challenge to fellow Eskfans members - re: Tony Tompkins

it just brings into question the rationale ...
$ for TD vs $ for assistance.
if the first one... it's just a gamble... a bet you'd like to lose so to speak.
if the second one then the message is as the Devil mentioned in that earlier post.

at somepoint something will have to be communicated... and we just want to be sure of what that is.

Well since TNT is GOING to get a TD return, I suppose this is all moot..

Either way, I suppose that if he (for some STRANGE reason) didn't get a TD, you would find that most (?) people would have made the donation anyway..

Maybe we just dig a little deeper and donate a bit more if he does return one....

At any rate a donation from EsksFans would be great.....

That's rich, um, priceless, um, (insert appropriate word here that doesn't have anything to do with money). Trust me, they don't pay me enough to give it away. I built my fortune in other ways. No, not drugs or pimping myself. Never sold any body organs either. I'm trying to anticipate the cracks that will no doubt appear. And, no, I never stole any of it. Didn't go to Numberz for a loan. I certainly don't have enough vCash, and don't know where I could spend it even if I did.

I thought the excess was going to fund your education. If not, maybe I'll mkae another donation.

I said I would give $500.00 to the relief efforts if he takes two back to the house.. I'll probably do it regardless anyway.

OK....so just so everyone knows......There are a few people behind the scenes working on some of the details of how and when and where all this is going to go down....We will release the details as soon as we can......Any input on how we would like to do this can be directed via PM to me...

    Thanks

It's actually perfectly clear. You live in Alberta. Numberz lives in Saskatchewan. You sold numberz into slavery of some sort. It's not his fault....the way he is. He's a product of your greed.

Said the site would pitch in.....(I would guess there would have to be a convo between the admins/mods on that one, or is it official Ang?)
