Not a fan of the poorly written and horribly acted prequels either, mate. But TLJ has easily the stupidest story of any SW movie. And it's the only movie in the franchise where it actually derailed the franchise. I mean...and spoiler alert here....Luke Skywalker....who faced Vader twice and turned him....now thinks the Jedi are a bad thing??? He now doesn't want to be found, but in the last movie he left an effing map that the whole effing movie was centered around! What they did with the Luke character was an insult to fans and the series in general. And again, what did the rebellion actually win at the end of ROTJ? Looks like nothing! Yaaaay! Let's screw with a timeless classic trilogy!!!

Plus...bombs will not drop in outer space. Getting sucked into outer space will kill you instantly. Using hyperspace as a weapon? Leading the rebels on the slowest chase ever while they all get killed....but don't tell anyone your secret plan???? How many new unheard of force powers can we invent? Who was Snoke? Who cares, according to RJ. Rey's parents? Nobodies. Thanks RJ.

So effing bad. So effing bad.

Screw you Rian Johnson. You suck.

Took the little man to Spider Man: Into the Spider Verse over the Christmas break. It was surprisingly good! I quit reading/collecting comics before most of the versions in the movie were introduced but they tied into all three movie versions of the webslinger as well as mention of the old old cartoon with the catchy theme song! The only problem I had with it was the animation got a little crazy in parts of the movie that they had warnings about people with photo sensitivity etc. to be cautious. I asked the guy taking tickets how bad it was, what part of the movie and he said it wasn't bad but all through the film. I can usually handle bits and pieces of super flashy type stuff...but this one actually made me vomit a few times! Still enjoyed the heck out of the movie, but my headache went from the 6-7 that it is normally to full on 9.5 for two days after. Something that's usually reserved for after a Guns n Roses concert or something like that. For people without epilepsy or head injuries (like myself) it would be totally fine. Parker thought it was fantastic so they did it right for the kids in the audience. Lots of laughs, some seriousness here and there. All around it was a fun popcorn movie.
Just a quick shout out to Mr."Winning isn't everything" for pis*ing away not one but TWO HoF QB's. F*ck you Len and good riddance.

Yeah, I took the kids to Spiderman this past weekend as well, and they loved it. I thought the way they blended so many different styles of animation was really unique, and for an animated movie it was a good movie, not just a "kids movie". The Stan Lee cameo was a nice tribute, and the end credit scene was hilarious.

Rian Johnson basically threw out all of the plot setups that JJ Abrams put in the Force Awakens, inserted some of the worst characters yet in the series (seriously...just tell Poe what the effing plan is!!!), had the useless casino scene and created, essentially, the slowest chase scene in history. What they did with Luke was inexcusable. All 3 awful prequels were better films.
I was soft on it when it was released as well. I loved seeing Luke and Leia. But what they did to them never gave me the desire to re-watch it yet.

That was so stupid. With all the freakin' technology, why would anyone make bombs anymore? I was looking around for the fax machine on the ship after that.

Watched the social media hyped Bird Box. I liked it. Seemed like an M. Night Shyamalan movie. Some things were quite unbelievable but you need to just let it go. I honestly have trouble finding good content on Netflix so this was a nice surprise.

I downloaded the CTV app on a whim and there are a bunch of old movies that I was surprised to see. Like Threesome, Exorcist 3 (which still has a couple scenes that creep me the f*ck out), Steel Magnolias, Who's Harry Crumb... Stuff you won't get on Netflix or Crave that's for sure. Granted you have to sit through some commercials but it's still better than digging out the VCR and having to rewind!
